North side, tapering, wandering - 4.1 miles, averaged 8:28

Looking over data from last year. Did fairly well pacing myself according to plan and without any help. Mile 18 I thought I had to go the bathroom, but I didn't and I wasted a good minute there. Mile 22 and 23 my calves were tight (were from the halfway point). Mile 25 I got hit with a hamstring cramp that left me stretching against a building.

Last year I peaked at 50 miles, but I am not sure what my average was. Peaked at 85 miles this year and averaged 65 miles per week for the 16 week buildup.

Yep, I'm with Joe-Joe: looking good for a BQ. Weight's down, speed's up, miles are up, aerobic base is much bigger and most important of all, you've stopped fighting with every person and dog you see on the street: I mean, that's gotta give you a few extra minutes:)

What Bam said...and...clear your mind, rely on the security that your training has been excellent. Trust in that, and enjoy the event. You will get a nice PR and a BQ too!

Thanks, gents. I'm running with the 3:05ers, "waiting to make my move" in the last 10k. Probably the last 5k so I can make sure the legs will handle another 10-12 seconds per mile.

I should be able to be focused, yet relaxed, Brett. I've been looking over my training, specifically long runs with goal pace miles. Following someone will help keep me tall and my eyes forward (and off that stupid watch!).

Best of luck with travel and the race, Brett. I'll be thinking of you while I am eating a stack of pancakes from my wheelchair Sunday morning!
