North side - 6.3 miles, averaged 8:42

11 degrees with gusting winds 19 gusting to 32 MPH. Not too bad, but into the wind I ran like a pirate for a while, and then ran with my hands in my jacket to practice some armless running and keep my hands warm (I hate bulky gloves).

ahh, that sounds really painful!

Running into the wind was painful, other than that it wasn't bad. Don't get me wrong, I had to break out my 2XU thermal tights. Had another guy get after me for wearing shorts the other day.

My grandmother always told me off for walking with my hands in my pockets. 'If you fall,' she used to say. 'How are your hands going to save your face.' So I'm going to tell you off...

'Jason, if you're running with your hands in your pockets and you fall, how are you going to save my iPad?'

From Jason D on Tue, Jan 22, 2013 at 14:31:13 from 24.1.80.94

Bam: I only did it temporarily, but my grandmother used to get after me for my shoelaces: "You'll fall and break your neck" You iPad is safe assuming Oliver doesn't try to move it :)
