Effort was definitely crossing the zone but I felt pretty good until the last mile, at which time I was ready to be done. It's been a while, far too long, since my last aerobic tempo. I thought I would do this one today whether or not it really does anything for Broad Street. It was fairly warm but dry and with a breeze it felt cool when I was cooling down.

Probably my third fastest 8-mile tempo, but I am fairly rested if somewhat sick and still recovering. Definitely my fastest with a sizable hangover; that's for sure. I think I broke 50 minutes this past fall once and I broke it winter 2014 running with my former running partner, Patrick.

Still pretty bummed. Just a lot of things aren't going well and I can usually count on my running. But I reconfigured my running life for summer looking for a marathon PR next fall. Like, a big one. Not 2 minutes. Basically an honest number of weeks of base building. I'll run Beach to Beacon without any specific training.

Skipping most of my summer track stuff except I might need to run the mile to see if I can cross that PR of the list.

I've also been trying to figure out about my groin/abdomen. It's been off for a long time. No pain, just not right. Take a look at Paul's most recent entry. I've had a similar issue for 2 years. I think.

I was going to ask what fall marathon you were targeting w/ the move to Michigan... and then I glanced left and saw the answer.

Be careful about those abdominal issues. When they go bad, they can go BAD (ie. my significant other).
