Medium long run loop - 13.1 in 1:33:36 (7:09 average). Upper range AT mile at mile 10 was 6:28. A bit fast, but I had to pick it up through a light toward the beginning. I think I've got a good idea where 6:35-6:40 pace is.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms. Wish I got to see mine today. Had a great weekend in Toledo with Megan's family thogh. I'm worried the scale with start snickering if I get on it in the morning so I will weight/wait until Wednesday.

Sounds like you're feeling fast. Hoping for good weather and tailwinds...

Effort was definitely moderate overall, but it was 55 and felt very cool and I didn't have a ton of time. My legs are coming back, but I need to do some work on my hips and do some foam rolling. I could definitely use a tailwind in the last, say, 4 miles. The last thing I need is a 25-30 mph tail wind on those 180 drops!

Impressive Jason.. Looks like you're setting yourself up quite nicely for the weekend. Great run today!

I hope so, Matt. The goal for this week is to do easy runs with some strides. Try not to get hit by any cars and attacked by any dogs. Although today I heard some barking and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Two dogs were out on a flat roof, about 1.5-2 floors up, barking at me. You can't make this stuff up.

Jason - you have the right idea -- just take it easy. Nothing you do now training-wise will have time make you any faster - but there are lots of things you can do that will negatively impact your performance on Sunday (squeezing in last minute VO2 max workouts, getting no sleep, etc.) Try not to obsess or be overly anxious. You got this. I am confident of that.

Thanks for your confidence and the reminders, Bret. I think it's easy to get anxious in the final week, and even though I don't have any workouts planned (of course) it's easy to run easy runs too fast especially as the legs come back. I have to look at what I usually do, but I think about 45-50 minutes the next 2-3 days and then really drop off Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Taper weeks really mess with your head, but trust in your training and just know you are ready. You will feel flat (and fat) this week, but it is ok your fitness is there.

Good luck making it through taper and have a great race!

Thanks, Jeff. I repeated your advice many times on my run today. Felt very flat.
