PM: 5.25 miles easy, no watch

I headed down to Flourtown to do a workout but decided doing a workout was inappropriate given that Megan was leaving and it's her birthday. It was already warm and I would have got zapped by the sun. I'll move it to Friday and find a place to do it at my parents'. I expect that going from 430' of elevation to 250' should help a good deal :-)

You're such a runner, I like this post. Here's my interpretation:

It was my wife's birthday and she's leaving the country, so I totally put running off to the side for her. I mean, obviously, I still ran, of course. Twice. But a workout, no, that would have made it completely inappropriate. It would have been a slow workout because of the heat but that's totally not why I moved it.

Your interpretation would be pretty accurate! I did feel bad though. Megan said "an hour?" I replied "longer." The plan was 25 minute warmup, 50 minute aerobic tempo, 25 down. Pretty much 10k of easy running and just under 8 miles MP. That was cutting it close to the time we had to leave. But I did chicken out because I could have just shortened the tempo. But what's the point of a 30-minute aerobic tempo?
