Fink Cemetery out and back - 10 miles, averaged 8:15.

Planned to do some strides and blasts but when I stopped for water at 8.5 I was seeing stars. Very loopy when I stopped to walk back to my apartment. Higher dew point and humidity for this week. Good practice for Florida in a week.

Is Florida where you're getting married?

Definitely not fun getting used to the humidity...maybe it makes us tougher in the long run?

Florida is where we are honeymooning. Her uncle let us stay at his place for a week. We couldn't afford much else.

I think it does. I generally don't do a ton of workouts in the heat, so I think that will pay off in the fall this year. I should have left my watch at home today. I dropped two splits in the 8:40s late and positive split my run. Unless it is very hilly you should always run a negative split on an easy run. I got spoiled with the cooler weather and dry conditions.

You are in for some humid and sweaty runs in Florida in the summertime if that's what you plan to do...Maybe your wife will want you not be planning runs on your honeymoon...just a thought.

I'll be sure to shower more than I usually do :) As for taking the time to do it, it's just something I need to do at this point (it will be a light, maintenance week).

She'll run a bit with me. I think she may have been ninja training the last few weeks. Runs are getting longer from what I can gather.

The weather stats are exactly what we are having here (lows in the 70s, highs around 90), but I know that east coast humidity sometimes hits in a certain way that is hard to describe.
