AM/Lunch: Chestnut College Hill Loop - 8 miles, averaged 7:57. Did a couple strides but ran out of prime stride real estate.

Stole someone's Strava record on the hill by about 42 seconds over 1.2 miles. According to Strava it's 324 feet of climb (5% grade) and I managed 7:50 pace. Not fast but it's definitely the biggest hill I've been able to put in a regular loop. I told myself I wasn't going to play this silly game but admittedly it's kind of fun.

PM: Off.

Get after it! Of course it's not silly. Good stamina building game if you ask me.

I think some repeats during the block of half training is in order. 7:20-7:30 pace is probably current threshold effort there. Time to switch up the training ever so slightly.

Does the website let you taunt the previous record holder? "Did a little recovery run up the hill and discovered I beat your record easily. Weird."

I hope there's at least some sort of notification! There are some speedies in the area. Not sure if you can see this guy but he has some fast 400s. And his half PR is slower than mine?!
