PM: 9.25 miles.

Had an interview at the Home Depot for a part-time position. I figured I would be hired for power tools, etc given I have about 7 years experience. I'll be working in lumber, drywall, decking, etc. At times I'll be running radial armsaw and a panel saw. Here I was thinking my advanced degrees would keep me from blisters, splinters, and disarticulating industrial cutting equipment. Taxes should be interesting with two different states for two different people and the (as yet) five different jobs I have had/will have.

Good for you Jason - I am sure the job you are looking for ultimately will come your way. In the meantime - enjoy the sawdust and your running. :)

Congrats. Hope one of the other opportunities we discussed comes around, though!

See you again soon.

Thanks, guys. Once I get a schedule it's three weeks out. The other two part-time jobs are flex time and basically taking submissions as I see fit. I've realized that I like working from home (saves gas, I can do meal prep, etc).

Hopefully it's a bit cooler and I'm in a bit better shape next time. We needed all this rain though.

Congratulations. This gives you cred in my book. Watch the last scene from Office Space when the dude decides to work construction.

Taxes? Just do like Trump and don't pay them.

That was uncalled for. Sorry Trumpsters.

I wish I could not pay my taxes. I'd be like $400 richer. The first year my parents couldn't claim me as a dependent (even though I was by financial definitions dependent) I felt bad for all the money I received back. It was about a month and a half of wages.

It's probably time for an Office Space rewatch anyway.
