AM: NW Philly Long Run Route - 20 miles, averaged 8:10

Slow, never felt fantastic. Comfortable conditions. A little warm (75-80), but again comfortable. Calf spoke up a few times but never really hurt or caused me to stop. It kind of feels like that point just before a muscle goes in to full tighten up mode but never quite gets there. It does concern me even though it hasn't become a problem yet.

Fairly hilly route with 1300 feet of gain, which I think puts me at a PR for the week with almost 7000 feet of gain.

And a hundred miles to boot! Feeling pretty good?

I feel good. A little tired today, but I've felt a lot worse on long runs. Fairly typical of a warm 20 now that I think about it.

The last 2-3 weeks I've felt better than I have all year. Enjoying it and ready to hit some longer workouts.

Calf has been squawking a little. I'll just take a few days if I need it.

Big week, dude. It's marathon season! :-)

It was somewhat "accidental." Just went with my standard 12-13 doubles, a mid-week workout and a long run. As you've said, you don't need much more than that. I am trying not to go crazy with mileage even though I want to run ALL the miles right now. Going to try to hover around my usual 85-95 I think.

I can tell when the St. George rush is on when I am at 96 miles and in 5th or 6th place on the mileage board and 4 guys are over 100 miles and they don't include you, Wesley Hunt, or Dave Holt.
