Day off. Got a massage. At a few points my head almost lifted off the table. Just the right amount of pressure!

Never had a massage.. Sounds like it went well! Have a good weekend of lots of rest.

I quite enjoy them, despite being fairly indulgent (even for my tastes) but these are filed under "the little running extras." If you get one, get a deep tissue, and tell them not to hold back. They can release some knots you can't even find with a roller.

She took me through several stretches as well. Some sort of neck submission move. I now have the neck turning radius of a super flexible owl.

I could tell that my legs were far less hammered than they were this fall. I think I was headed for some other issues before I injured my hip . . .

Maybe I'll try to talk Natasha into me getting one about a week before my marathon. Sounds like you're loose and ready to go! I mean.. super flexible owl? Won't need to worry about pulling anything if you take a peak behind yourself on the course. Sounds well worth it.

Oh, I probably missed it, do you have your bib #?

From Jason D on Thu, Apr 17, 2014 at 22:20:13 from 24.1.80.94

I mean because they can turn their heads far. I hope not to look back. I snap around looking for oncoming cars sometimes and I am sure it is GREAT for the hips . . .

Bib # 2107. Looking to make some serious gains on coming in ahead of #2107 though! Goal range is 2:43-2:48. Minimum of a PR (2:52:52 or better), but I will be pretty disappointed if it is close to that (unless I do something stupid, in which case I should be punished for my hubris :-) )

good luck, run smooth, fast and strong!

Thanks, Tom. Going to try to run tall and stay relaxed, take my time to settle into my pace.
