Lunch - Treadmill - 8 miles in just under 60 minutes

Supposed to be a long run day but it was way too warm outside. Tried to do an hour honest plus an hour AT tempo (with the 60 minute shutoff), but the machine kept stopping for no reason and I was yelling and swearing like an idiot and my face and hands were burning from cutting jalapenos last night. Might do a workout on the treadmill this afternoon and try to get a decent long run in sometime mid-week. As usual, I've been lazy about them.

PM: Treadmill - 8 miles in 53:XX w/ 30 minute LT tempo @ 10 MPH

Needed this one. I generally do this one a handful of weeks before a half and it is served me well. I decided mid-tempo to name it the "Philly Buster."

Nice work on the Philly Buster. Has a ring to it. Jalapeņos are so good, but they always somehow interfere with running.

Strong TM tempo! It's a scientific fact that time moves slower on the TM, so this was more like a 40-50 min tempo, so even more impressive.

Thanks, guys. Before my half PR in March I ran 29:30 but it was on what I think is a slower treadmill. I was working pretty hard on this one but the effort was right. I can't run that kind of sustained effort on the roads, so this is where the treadmill really shines. This one in particular maxes out at 10mph so I have to put the incline up or go longer if I want to make it harder.

I'm hoping to sprout some chest hair in my sleep and get outside tomorrow. It's been very muggy and I haven't been getting up early because of Labor Day Weekend break.
