PM: 8.4 miles in the blizzard. HR 149.

We already had around 17 inches of snow when I went out and the worst of the storm is just arriving. The roads in Chestnut Hill were awful but I went over into Wyndmoor and the roads were pretty decent. Apparently the suburbs know how to maintain roads despite a @5 drop in taxes wihout the city tax. I stopped to help push a guy out of a 7-11 parking lot. He was going home to South Philly with bald tires. People were out walking their dogs and one guy was cross country skiing.

Looks like a birthday long run on the treadmill tomorrow. #ohjoy

Way to get out there. Snowmageddon!

Are you getting anything up there?

From Derunzo on Sat, Jan 23, 2016 at 15:52:22 from 98.229.177.205

Maybe 2-3 inches. We dodged this one :)

We have had snow like that this winter and it didn't get a blip on the national news. What is it like to live in a section of the country that matters to the media?

From Jason D on Sat, Jan 23, 2016 at 16:07:01 from 68.80.27.222

I am guessing because they know you are all hearty outdoors folks.

I don't even own a shovel. They are going to pull my Maine card when I go back. We live in complex that does all the work. I almost feel guilty.

Media coverage or not, everyone knows the West is the Best.

I'm just kidding. I know that, despite all our space, a huge percentage of Americans still live within 100 miles of the Atlantic Ocean. So big storms in the east affect a lot more people.
