Purdue Co-Rec - 9.5 miles. Ho hum; unward and upward.

Ran into Brandon who was looking spiffy. I'm lucky to put pants on since I am not teaching this semester. My only complaint about the Co-Rec (other than them not giving me a Woodway treadmill) is no towel service. Easy enough to bring one I guess.

Night: 35 minutes of stretching, rolling, and core.

At this point last year I was 165lbs. A bit of work to do to get back to and below that.

Your weight'll come around. Mine's trying to, but... Sounds like you're at least paying attention to what you're eating. That's the biggest thing.

Nothing says "I sold out to the man" like wearing pants.

Matt: It's entirely possible to eat very well and still gain weight. There are fat vegetarians and vegans. I've seen them! I'm eating about what a 155-160 runner takes in for calories right now (based on the book Racing Weight). I've started counting calories to make sure I don't eat too much. I also celebrated races pretty seriously this fall and I think that burned me. Lots of heavy IPAs, post-race pancakes with tons of syrup and so on. Other than getting hurt, it was a dang fun fall racing season though.

Jake: I keep wanting to peel my shirt off but I think that is frowned on even at the gym. I think if I wear my heart rate monitor across my nipples it can pass. Right now I am wearing a Newton T-shirt that reads "Ask Me About My Freak." The beauty of dissertation writing and not teaching.
