Vinton Woods - 9 miles, averaged 7:26. Did some faster miles (3, 5, 7). Got a bit too proud and blew the start of a baby builder and just kind of resigned myself to the fact that I am overweight and out of shape, but that running a few faster miles even with super long recoveries would be okay for now. Mile 3=6:41, Mile 5=6:36, Mile 7=6:17 (about 76 feet of drop). Did a few strides in the last mile.

Evening: 30 minutes of core and stretching. The giant blood blister on the right ball of my foot feels like it has a headache.

Yeah, I think the important thing is you got the legs cranking up a little. As long as you can get yourself a little out of breath a couple times a week, you'll be able to start executing workouts as planned pretty soon.

Thanks, Joe. I sometimes forget that at the start of things even seemingly micro workouts can be tough especially if you have too precise a goal. I really should have tried running around ~7:15 and closer a bit faster but I am apparently too proud to call that marathon pace even though it is marathon effort currently.

FATTY!

It's got pretty ugly, Coach Bam. However, I am following a fairly strict diet (pretty much my usual one) but I am counting every calorie. It's going to take a while but I am pretty sure my Bam weight handicap is doable by April 20. Unless you weigh like 118 at this point :)

Reflecting back on my running I could never have run this fast at this weight in . . . 2011?
