4.3 miles at gentleman jogger pace. Few pace strides to finish it off.

Ran with Megan near the airport on some access roads. Legs feel really good. I've kept off them more than usual. Need to be careful at the start tomorrow morning. Don't want to go out on Delusions of Grandeur pace. Effort, effort, effort.

"Gentleman Jogger Pace". I like that. Makes this sport sound civilized.

I'd just use GJP from now on in your blog entry.

I keep adding a list of definitions to how the pace is defined. I thought of the term last week and thought it was funny. But the list of definitions actually helps you to think about your effort to make sure it is true recovery.

Here are a few:

1. A gentleman jogger does not run at a conversational pace; he runs at a pace at which he can sustain a 4-hour lecture on the 18th century British novel.

2. Even at GJP a gentlemen runs tall and with a forward lean.

3. A gentleman does not sweat, he glistens.

4. A gentleman does not check his watch (if he even wears one).

5. A gentleman does not mind the term "jog" or "jogger" applied to him while running at GJP.

And so on . . .
